Thank you for your interest in MOBICON the 13th , one of Alabama’s premiere Science Fiction, Fantasy, Gaming, Anime, Comics, Horror, and Media convention. Our annual convention will be held in beautiful Mobile, Alabama from May 14th-16th, 2010. We are a not-for-profit organization and, as such, we support a local charity each year chosen by our Board of Directors. This year’s charity will be the Bay Area Food Bank (a division of Feeding America (http://www.bayareafoodbank.org). This year's theme since this is the 13th year of MOBICON, is a horror theme; MOBICON the 13th! We all invite you to attend and/or submit your work to our three-day art show. Space is limited, so please be sure to send your registration as soon as possible. The deadline for Art Show registration and payment is May 1st 2010.

MOBICON accepts art in any medium that reflects the themes of our convention. For your convenience, I have included an Art Show Registration Form and a copy of the MOBICON the 13th Art Show Rules. Please be sure to read the rules carefully. MOBICON is growing and we have made numerous changes to our Art Show rules to better accommodate both the artists and guests. You will also find a copy of the Art Show Control Sheet, Art Show Print Shop Control Sheet and Bid Sheets. Please feel free to make as many copies as you need. If you have your own forms which meet our criteria, you are welcome to substitute them instead.

MOBICON the 13th also hosts an Artist’s Alley and an informal art contest with awards for pieces entered into the Art Show! Medals will be given for Best In Show, Best Color, Best Black & White, Best Original Concept, Best Fan Art and People’s Choice. Additionally, if you plan to attend MOBICON the 13th, you can register for the Attending Artist’s Membership badge at a reduced rate from the Standard Membership badge price.

Per city, county and state regulations, 1% city sales tax, 4% county sales tax and 4% state sales tax will be added to the gross sale of each purchase to be paid by the buyer. By registering for the MOBICON the 13th Art Show, you agree to allow MOBICON, Inc. and its agents to report and remit all applicable sales taxes.
